Before beginning her acting profession, she was a Swedish fashion model. In the end, she won her first prize in the Miss Sweden Contest. Then she moved to America and began appearing in a variety of movies. The first role she was credited with was in the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she played the role of a Venusian guard. The film was later awarded the Golden Globe award in the Most Promising Newcomer category after being featured in the movie Blood Alley.
